Dr. James Visits - Dental Health

Dr. James came to visit us to talk to us about our dental health. Dr James has taken care of Mrs. Standlee's dental health, as well as her family's, for a couple of decades. He works on several Emerald Park staff members' dental health, too. 

He did some magic tricks! How did he do THAT? 

He also brought his Olympic Torch from the Sydney 2000 Olympics. He carried the torch because he was on the 1972 Munich Olympic Australian Basketball Team. 

Thank you, to Dr. James! We loved the goodie bags that he brought us which included a toothbrush and bubble gum flavored dental floss. Dr. James taught the students how to use dental floss.

Field Trip!

We had a rainy day at the Green River Natural Resource Area.

Mr Knox Visits Us

Mr. Knox from the Green River Natural Resources Area came to speak to us about our upcoming field trip.

He showed us pictures of the area and its characteristics. We learned some amazing numbers - like this resource is 500 acres which is 500 football fields! Wow!

We can't wait to see this resource in person now that we have a taste of what's to come.

M&M Club Participants

Nearly everyone in our class has now made the M&M Club. I am particularly proud of them because they helped each other get there by using the buddy system. Working together to achieve an achievement shows the collaboration and learning community we have established in our classroom. This makes me very proud! This is the best way to display Navigator character. Yay! Team Standlee!
